10 Things you should pack on your next cruise

A few useful tips on what you should take with you on your next cruise.

1. Towel pegs- For your sunbed, keep your towel from blowing away on board. Also help distinguish your sunbed from others. Can be bought relatively cheaply online.

2. Multi outlet power adapter & portable power pack for phone- you may want to charge multiple devices, plus back up for your phone when out and about on excursions.

3. Toilet spray- with many cabins not having fresh air you may want to keep your bathroom smelling fresh.

4. Waterproof phone pouch-if your someone who spends alot of time in the water. Then these are great and can often take photos at the same time. Plus if your worried about leaving your phone on the beach, when you go for a swim, these mean you can take your phone and money with you.

5. Beach Bag- Needed for beach days to keep all your suntan lotion etc.

6. Microfibre towels- As a family I don't want to be carrying the bulky cruise towels when we have a day at the beach.

7. Wrinkle releaser spray- once unpacked hang in the wardrobe and spray no need for a travel iron

8. Hanging toiletry bag- saves room in the bathroom and can easily hang on the back of your cabins bathroom door.

9. Insulated water bottle- Great for excursions. To make sure you can keep some water cold for the day.

10. Mask & snorkel- Save yourself some money and bring yours with you.

When packing for a family of 4, I swear by packing cubes.

I have 4 packs of them now and it not only helps compress the clothes to save space but also helps me organise the suitcases and makes packing and unpacking so much easier. I just hand my kids there cubes, usually separated into underwear, tops and bottoms. All rolled to decrease creasing.

In each case I also place a few tumble dryer sheets to keep the clothes smelling fresh.

When travelling with children I also download netflix episodes onto a couple of devices so even when we don't have internet, if the children are bored they have something to watch.

I alway take antibacterial wipes & hand sanitiser, but I think this is now a given.

I have an old suntan lotion bottle cleaned and emptied, which is always handy to keep valuables like keys, cash and even phone if needed.
